Materials and Methods Excercise 1:  Choose a photo of an object that caught your attention in Barcelona and write four lines describing what that object says about the City.

Like many “old” cities, Barcelona is a historical collage.  The city is built up in layers, from ancient Roman times to the present, each new city molded over the top of the last.  This photo shows the city’s changing layers not in an expanded elevation, but instead spreading along the vertical surface of the city streetwall.  A tag artist’s bright graffiti – the urban motif of our century — masks the traditional details of an old door in the Barrí Gótica.
